The name
We take the name from the refiner’s fire: attention, heat, and time, until what remains is sound. We try to build software the same way. Remove what does not belong, keep what does, and stay with the work long enough to know the difference.
He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.
We keep that picture as a quiet standard for the craft: patience, and work that can be stood behind.
Birmingham
The lab is near Red Mountain. Iron from that mountain built this city. We are glad to do our work in a place with a long memory for making.
